# Does Balluff have analog distance sensors?

## Sensors with an analog range

Working principle: the switch with analog output does not switch under the specific target distance. Its analog output transmits an output signal depending on the distance.

The output voltage corresponds to the position of the object within the sensing range. The working principle of these systems is the same as that of the switch with background blanking, which generates a linear output signal in a specific range (measurement range).
