# When counting the number of screws on a tray, which tools should I use?

## I need to count the number of screws on a tray, can Balluff vision systems do this?

It depends on whether the screws are laid out randomly or in a pattern.

- If they are randomly strewn on the tray, then a **Find Object tool** can be used to count the screws, even if they are touching or overlapped.

- If the screws are not touching, then a **Check Blob tool** can be used.
