What are the null point and damping zone in standard rod type Balluff transducers?

Null point length and damping zone length in standard rod type transducers

The area at the end of the rod that cannot be used for measurements, but which may be passed over is Damping zone.

The distance from the mounting thread to Null point varies in different model.

 

         

 

For A/B type the Null point is at 30-1 mm from threads.

For Y/Z type the Null point is at 2"-0.04"  from threads.
