What is the difference between an IO-link-based interface transducer and an analog transducer with IO-Link configurability (C1 generation)?

In IO-link interface BTL we get all position data over the IO-link communication line and we can even do the parameterization/configuration via IO-link; whereas in analog-based C1 generation transducer, we get position data in analog format (voltage or current) and IO-link is used only for parameterization/configuration. We wont get position data over IO link.
