The difference between a global shutter and a rolling shutter

Camera shutters

Global shutter
All the pixels are exposed at the same time, that is, all the pixels in each row of the photosensitive components are exposed at the same time. Therefore, the global shutter exposure time is shorter, which improves efficiency and eliminates image jelly

Rolling shutter
The light-sensing element is used to sense light line by line in order from top to bottom, until the entire photosensitive element is exposed. So the rolling shutter exposure time is longer. In addition, if the industrial camera shakes when taking pictures, or when shooting fast-moving objects, you will see jelly on the screen.
