Factors affecting ultra sonic sensors
The speed of the sound depends on ambient temperature. So for proper functioning of ultrasonic sensor the temperature should not vary or at least vary slowly. Change in air humidity values also may lead to errors. The sound speed depends on the medium.
They detect nearly all materials that reflect sound. Soft and airy materials have a bad reflection.
