What is the difference between Vision sensor and Smart Camera?

Difference between BVS-E and BVS-SC?

  1. The BVS-E is basic Vision Sensor. It has resolution of 0.3 Megapixel i.e.VGA.
    It is a monochrome camera. It supports digital IOs, TCP I/P and RS232 interface.
    BVS has built in Lens and internal illumination such as White and IR light.
    Supported applications by BVS are fast inline verification in production, presence, completeness, position, code reading, part positioning.
  2. The BVS-SC is Smart Camera. It has resolution of 1.3 Megapixel.
    Color camera variant is also available. It supports digital IOs, TCP/IP, Profinet,
    Ethernet/IP & IO-Link interface.
    Supported applications by BVS-SC are complex verification, accurate measuring tasks, robotics, large detection area and long distance, critical (light) environment.
