Profibus modules with eight ports
There are two kinds of PROFIBUS modules of 8 ports at Balluff:
- Master station module BNI005r with IO-link
- 16 DI/DO configurable module: BNI0047, BNI003z and BNI0054
1. Master station module BNI005r with IO-link:
This module includes four IO-link master ports, which can be configured and used independently of each other. All IO-link ports support COM1, COM2, COM3 ports (only applicable to 3-wire) and SiO mode.
The IO link port also includes an additional input port or I/O port connected via pin 2. This means that complementary normally open / normally closed and designated sensors can also be connected in SiO mode.
The Balluff Profibus interface ensures optimal operation of the IO link module and the cyclic operation of the Profibus DP VI.
Four additional standard IO ports can be provided for standard sensors and actuators. This port has eight input ports or eight freely configurable input/ output ports, with a maximum transmission current of 2A.
2. 16 DI/DO configurable module: BNI0047, BNI003z and BNI0054
In addition to saving time and cost, our master station is easier to operate. Balluff provides a display screen for Profibus modules, which can be used by users to set station numbers or call up module information (such as hardware and software status) ,which not only improves security, but also facilitates maintenance.
