# バルーフのファイバーセンサの特徴は?

## ファイバーセンサ

ファイバケーブルはガラスやプラスチック材質で、最小50 μmの直径で作られています。光ファイバーと呼ばれる数百の光が通る繊維を束ねています。光ファイバーの端部は、光学業界の品質基準を満たすように磨き上げられています。

それぞれの繊維は非常に薄い潤滑剤の層でコーティングされています。これにより、外側のシースと繊維との摩擦を低減し、ケーブルが曲がった状態でも繊維の断線を防ぐことができます。

そのため、光の伝送を長期間保つことができます。繊維の束の端部は、接続スリーブとシースで包まれています。そのため、バルーフの光ファイバーはIP67 (金属シースはIP65)を達成しています。

水や腐食性の媒体は、光ファイバーやスライディングスリーブを損傷させることがないので、光学特性に影響を与えません。軸方向の張力を全ての光ファイバに均等に分散させる設計になっているため、それぞれの光ファイバを過大な引張り荷重の損傷から保護します。
